Tuition Reimbursement

FrontRunnerHC is committed to supporting both individual and company success through employee participation in continuing educational opportunities that enhance job related skills and knowledge associated with current job functions as well as future advancement potential.

FrontRunnerHC’s Tuition Reimbursement Program will reimburse an employee up to a maximum of $2,000 per calendar year for continuing education through an accredited program. Programs must either offer growth in an area related to the employee’s current position or related field. Education opportunities include college credit courses, seminars, continuing education unit courses, and certification tests.

All full-time, regular employees who have been employed with the company for 90 days or more are eligible to participate in the program. Employee must still be employed at the conclusion of the course to receive reimbursement.

Employees who wish to participate in the program should follow the following procedure:

  1. Before enrolling in an educational course, employees must provide their direct supervisor with course information to determine job-relatedness and approval.
  2. A tuition reimbursement request form should be completed by the employee and submitted to HR.
  3. HR will obtain signatures from each appropriate party and provide a copy to the employee as well as accounting.
  4. When the course is completed, a transcript or certificate of completion indicating a passing grade and/or successful completion of the course must be forwarded to Human Resources in order to initiate reimbursement to employee.
  5. Reimbursement will be paid after successful completion of the course and upon receipt of documentation supporting the tuition fees paid and the course results

Approved coursework should be completed on the employees own time. If approved coursework is only available during the employee’s work hours, the employee must obtain approval from manager prior to the start and ensure that there is no disruption to the everyday needs of the company. An employee is not eligible for tuition reimbursement if they withdraw from an approved course. To be eligible to receive reimbursement employee must pass the course with a 75% or above if applicable. If using tuition reimbursement for a certification exam, employee must pass the exam to be eligible to receive the reimbursement.

An employee’s participation in the plan shall not be construed as an employment contract or as a promise of continuing employment between FrontRunnerHC and the employee. Employment with FrontRunnerHC is considered at-will, meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the relationship without cause or for any reason at any time.
